Get Rid of Your Stuff!

Is everyone as fed up with Goodwill as I am? Let’s stop just giving them all our cool stuff for them to make money off of! Instead donate your items to a small business! (Namely my small business but other resale/antique stores would probably love it too!).

Now you may be thinking, but Goodwill goes to a good cause and helps the people that need it most. And to that I have to say - have you been inside a Goodwill lately? The price gouging is insane. Maybe that was the idea when they first opened but lately they have been pricing out the people that need these items and even trying to sell literal trash for $5 or more. It’s really become a problem. For resellers, hobbyists, and the people that may need these resources.

Instead, donate to a local small business. Again, it doesn’t have to be an antique store but if you do a quick search of resell shops in your area I’m sure you’ll find a couple! Donating to these businesses keeps the money in the community instead of going to the big wigs at the top of a corporation ladder. It obviously helps the business owners but also the vendors in the shop by keeping the doors open for them to continue their own businesses!
